WE COME FROM A BIG CALABRIAN FAMILY WHO HAVE BEEN GROWING AND PRODUCING FOOD IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA FOR NEARLY 70 YEARS.
Our blood is Southern Italian but our hearts are 100% Australian made. We like to think Ottimo celebrates this, born of our rich Italian heritage but built for the country we call home.
Ottimo translates to ‘excellent’ or ‘optimal’ or ‘delicious’. It’s the word we use when food is just very f*#$%ing good. Because in Italy, to ‘mangia bene’ or to ‘eat well’ is everything. Food is life.
But we’ve come to realise life is also busy. That’s why we wanted to make good quality Italian food accessible to people who don’t have the time or energy to make it for themselves. Because as far as we’re concerned, you don’t have to eat out, or eat at Nonna’s, or cook for an hour to mangia bene.
Ottimo is good Italian food, made with real ingredients, with no additives or preservatives, for those moments in life when you just CAN’T BE ******.
We have worked hard to create a pasta with a texture and consistency our family is proud of.
Our sauces and fillings are made with real produce, no artificial flavours or colours. The meals are made fresh and packed fresh, which is why they taste so damn good. And we’ve made all of our meals in portions that will actually fill you up, every time. Proper Nonna size.
